The Present Moment Project is an experimental series of interior installations designed to create contemplative space as an “overlay” to existing campus spaces. Different types of settings in three very different buildings have been employed in this study.
Questions being asked by this work include: What do contemplative objects and spaces look like in the 21st century? Which materials and spatial iterations are most effective and why? Although stress levels in American society are high, what will be the response of students, staff, and faculty to a space for contemplation?
